As an up and coming country, Vietnam has a young population with considerable ambition. It is very likely the Vietnam will continue to play a growing role in the global economy. Major economies in Vietnam include agriculture & fishing, energy and mining, Tourism as well as banking & finance. In particular, energy is a big area of investment and focus. Unusual though it may seem, learning some basic Vietnamese could be very useful and it really just needs to be the basics for polite introductions and conversations as the Vietnamese generally speak other languages, in particular English.
