Since its inception, Skyline University College has been training manpower in the field of Management Education, Travel & Tourism, Marketing, Human Resource, Information Systems, Strategic Management and Finance. The institution has identified Retail Marketing, Public Administration & e Governance as new areas for training the manpower required of these industry. SUC has carved out a name for itself in the local and international markets as a quality business education provider at a reasonable cost.
Over a period of time the University has carved a niche for itself in Business Management Education and training required for the industry. The programs offered by SUC are fully approved and accredited by Ministry of Education. (www.caa.ae).
SUC offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Travel & Tourism Management, Information Systems, International Business, Marketing and Retail Management, Finance and Public Administration & also Weekend BBA in International Business SUC offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program, with emphasis in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management & Leadership and E-governance during weekdays and weekends.
The state-of-the art infrastructure spread across 40 acres of land is well equipped to cater to the needs of the students in shaping up their future as young managerial workforce and prepare them to meet the challenges of today's world. The campus in the University City of Sharjah, situated on the border of Sharjah and Dubai, has well equipped and purpose built academic and administrative blocks, well-furnished Library and Computer Lab, Sports Centre which includes gymnasium, common room for students, international size floodlit cricket ground, football field and a covered basketball court, keeps the students engaged in sports activities.
The diversity in Skyline is embodied by students from 60 different nationalities, this is reflected in various colorful multi-cultural events from time to time and the sharing of multicultural views help in solving business and social problems SUC is conscious of Quality education and in this endeavor it improves its quality of programs by collecting regular feedback from industry experts and employers. The academic board conducts rigorous evaluation of curriculum and courses and suggests improvement in the programs so as to enable the students to acquire employable skills and competences suitable for the industry requirements. All the programs designed by SUC emphasizes on all-round personality development and inculcate the values of leadership and integrity.
To groom the students for successful careers PSDP programs are embedded in the curriculum and the students are trained towards developing their personality and imbibe the soft skills, values of leadership & integrity to tackle business and social problems. SUC also provides opportunity to its student to learn through organizing and conducting event & demonstrate knowledge skills and competence. To facilitate students learning SUC has well developed learning resources provided by a good collection of books, journal and databases in its library enabling students to learn through research.
The case study Centre is actively engaged in developing case studies relevant to the region to help the faculty members use them in the classroom environment. To deliver quality education, SUC has engaged full time faculty members from different nationalities with terminal degrees. Their experience and the international exposure bring the best out of the students from multi-cultural background. To council progression of the student SUC has well developed advising and feedback mechanism to help the student & the university to continuously improve its performance.
SUC has included entrepreneurship courses in its curriculum, helping students to explore the challenges of entrepreneurship and be prepared to become an entrepreneur. SUC has an active Corporate Relations Office that facilitates industry interface with academics so that the industry experts can share their experiences with the students in the form of guest lectures and facilitates industry visits. The office also facilitates students to be placed as interns in the corporates thus providing exposure to industry work culture. It extends support for organizing interviews for job placement.
The Institution has articulation agreements with various Colleges/Universities in Canada, UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, Pakistan etc., which facilitates the students to get transferred for further studies. SUC has professional relationships with IATA-UFTAA, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH), Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), the only university in UAE to be the Gold Status approved Learning provider), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the World Tourism Organization (WTO).
