ACCA in the UAE (a special case)

ACCA has signed a strategic partnership with the national accountancy body of the UAE - Accountants and Auditors Association (AAA) - to enhance the accountancy and finance profession in the country by implementing the national qualification of the UAE.

The new national chartered accountant qualification of the UAE - United Arab Emirates Chartered Accountant (UAECA) - has the ACCA Qualification as its basis. Students This partnership will provide a dual-branded, internationally recognised, IFAC compliant route to membership of both AAA and ACCA. 

As a potential student resident in the UAE you will be able to achieve the dual designation of "ACCA" and "UAECA" upon completion of your exams, ethics and practical experience. Obtaining this dual designation involves no additional exams it follows the same process as studying for ACCA, the benefits are that you get both the local recognition of the UAECA designation and the global recognition of the ACCA designation.

Exams are offered twice a year; in June and December

Entry requirements
  • 2 A Levels and 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) in 5 different subjects which must include English and Mathematics

You can still join ACCA to study accounting as a student, but you will need to start your studies with our Foundation-level qualifications - Foundations in Accountancy

To qualify,complete
  • Exams - a minimum of 5 of 14 exams (nine of which are eligible for exemption)
  • Experience - record 36 months' experience in a relevant role
  • Ethics - complete the Professional Ethics module

Certifications ACCA is the global body of professional accountants and their qualifications are globally recongised and accepted. In the UAE, ACCA works in partnership with the national accountancy body of the UAE - AAA - to provide aspiring professional accountants an opportunity to gain global and local recognition with dual membership of ACCA and AAA.
Intake Courses run regularly with monthly sessions available and prepare you for exams every June and December
Price Range The prices of the listed courses range from AED 1,500 to AED 3,303 per module - there are also some examination fees to pay to the ACCA. The full qualification may cost around 45,000 AED if you were not eligible for any module exemptions
Duration Depending on the number of modules you need to take the ACCA  and how much work experience you complete during your studies the qualification can take up to 4 years to complete. However you have a 10 year window to complete the qualification if needed.
Timings Weekend, weekdays, evening, afternoon, and morning classes are available at different institutions
