Established in 1996, as the Close Corporation, in 2011, the company status was changed by the directors to be the (Pty) Ltd. Since establishment Contra-lit has been specializing in training and development. The first full accreditation status was acquired in 2003, second in 1996 (both from ETDPSETA).  Due to the primary focus changes, in 2011, the provisional accreditation status was acquired from W&R SETA. Contra-lit operates from Nelspruit, implementing national projects.
