About Compuscan Academy
Compuscan Academy was established in 2003 out of a need for a dedicated training provider for the Microfinance Industry (MFI) when Compuscan, a reputable South African credit bureau, was awarded a BANKSETA training grant via the Micro Lenders Association (now MicroFinance South Africa) to develop and manage a compliance training programme for microlenders.
As a result of our achievements in this project, Compuscan became a leading training provider for the Microfinance Skills Project (MFSP) towards the end of 2003. In 2004 Compuscan was once again awarded with a second training grant of a similar nature, this time focusing on responsible lending issues. This was again successfully delivered and consequently Compuscan established its own training company, called “Compuscan Academy” (also previously known as Credit Skills Training Institute – CSTI).
Since 2004 we have grown to be a very successful and reputable training provider within the credit and financial services industries of South Africa. We have trained thousands of learners countrywide and have even spread our wings to enter the African market when we offered training programmes in emerging financial markets such as Namibia, Rwanda, Nigeria and Zambia.
