Better Best was established in 1994 as a private technical college. The focus was to provide training in Business Studies from N2 to N6 level with emphasis on computer training. The College is registered with the Department of Education as an adult training centre as theyll as an examination centre for national examinations.

In 1996 they identified the need for a private technical college in Tzaneen and a campus was established with the same emphasis and quality education as at their head office. The branch is registered as an examination centre for national examinations.

In 1999, Better Best was registered as a learning centre for the University of Pretoria. Better Best started to provide telematic services to University of Pretoria. The services provided, includes facilities to "distance learning students" to attend classes at Better Best through satellite and registering students for the relevant programmes. Better Best also receives payment, transfers it to the University and acts as examination centre for the University. Provides study material and receives assignments, which is forwarded to the University.
