Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (KIET) was established in 1997 with the aim of providing quality education economically. Its academic programs are designed to prepare the students to meet the challenges of the business world. KIET received recognition by the Higher Education Commission (formerly named as UGC) vide letter no. 15-22/UGC-SEC/97/1291 dated August 1, 1998. KIET is also accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). 

The PAF-KIET Main Campus, spread over 22 acres, is situated at PAF Korangi Creek, Karachi. It is located within 15-20 minutes drive from multiple points (Baloch Colony Overpass and FTC) on Shahrah-e-Faisal and is easily accessible. The educational complex at this campus has custom-built infrastructure that enables professional education in a peaceful environment. Purpose built building structures, open spaces and green lawns, and diversity of students creates a stimulating and lively campus environment.
