Founded in 2001, ICEP Europe (formally known as Profexcel) was part of University College Dublin’s Campus Company Development Programme and was the overall winner of the sixth Campus Company Development Programme award in 2001. ICEP Europe developed one of the world’s first online cTheirses on autism in partnership with St Patrick’s College Drumcondra and this initiative was supported and part funded by the Irish Government and the Department of Education and Skills under the National Development Plan.

In 2007, ICEP Europe partnered again with St Patricks, Drumcondra to offer teachers an Online Certificate/Diploma in Education (Special/Inclusive). Their university accredited cTheirse portfolio has since developed, with the addition of the Advanced Diploma in Professional Development (Adv Dip PD) Inclusive Education, offered in partnership with Queens University Belfast, School of Education, run from 2007 - 2012, the Cert HE/Advanced Diploma in Special Education with Leeds Beckett University, and more recently with the PG Cert/Diploma/MA in Special and Additional Learning Needs with the University of East London.

ICEP Europe, provides online education to teachers, psychologists and other professionals in Ireland, UK and internationally. They are delighted to be working in partnership with the Special Education Support Service of the Department of Education and Skills in the Republic of Ireland to support teachers.
