This course specifies the competencies required for training and certification of diving supervisors for commercial diving operations using Commercial Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (CSCUBA). The course outlines the competency and training requirements for Inland/Inshore Level 3 diving supervisor qualification: Commercial SCUBA Diving Supervisor (No decompression; maximum depth 30m) and describe the competency requirements to train dive supervisors to safely and competently plan and supervise diving operations involving CSCUBA.

About this course

This course will train you to the required competencies certification as a commercial diver for commercial diving operations using Surface Supplied Diving Equipment (SSDE) (No decompression, maximum depth 30m).

ABOUT THIS COURSE
The course is open to certified commercial divers who wish to gain training and certification for the use of underwater burning equipment.

Divers engaged in underwater cutting using burning equipment need to be competent in the task, aware of the hazards involved and safe practices when conducting such tasks. This course is designed to raise the diver’s level of competence and safety awareness for the use of underwater burning equipment through theory based presentations and in water practical training demonstrating the safe use of this equipment.

The course is structured around the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) 471 Document — “Oxy-arc underwater cutting recommended Practice” and IMCA D003 Guidelines for Oxy-Arc Cutting. No previous underwater burning experience necessary.

INTRODUCTION
Surface supplied diving is sometimes carried out using a breathing gas mix of oxygen and nitrogen with a higher percentage of oxygen in the mix than in natural compressed ;The common industry terminology for such a gas mix is NITROX.

Diving while breathing NITROX has various advantages and disadvantages, one such advantage is that the required decompression time for any particular dive can be reduced in comparison to the same dive using natural compressed ;The technique is normally used to ensure that particular dives can be carried out without the diver requiring any decompression but in other cases is used to ensure that very lengthy decompression is not required.

The dive plan for the use of NITROX needs to consider all the relevant safety considerations of using this technique in place of natural compressed air.

One of the main safety considerations not normally present when breathing compressed air is the increased risk of oxygen toxicity problems, particularly those occurring while the diver is still under water.

This course was developed to teach trained commercial diving personnel standardised inspection, set-up, and operation procedures for the KMDSI Helmets and BandMasks. This course is primarily intended to teach commercial divers and diving personnel standardized procedures for the use of KMDSI Helmets and Masks. "It is NOT a Repair/Technician course".

The operator / user course instructs commercial divers, tenders, and supervisors how to perform routine daily pre-pe / post-pe procedures as well as corrective adjustments and to identify equipment deficiencies, which could hamper helmet or BandMask performance and/or pose a potential hazard. The course teaches the KMDSI monthly, and daily helmet and BandMask pre/post dive maintenance, set-up, adjustment, and inspection procedures for Kirby Morgan Helmets, BandMasks and other specific associated equipment including first stage regulators, whips and gauges. Upon completion, each student will receive a two-year certification.

The course does not qualify or certify the individual to perform repairs, overhauls, or annual face port insert testing. Competent and well-trained technicians are essential for safe offshore/inshore diving operations. Equipment used to support and conduct diving operations requires technicians for its installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair. This course instructs divers, tenders, and dive system technicians how to perform routine repair and maintenance of all KMDSI Helmets, BandMask, and other specific associated equipment including first stage regulators, whips and gauges. The course also covers how to conduct Helmet and BandMask inspections, adjustments, and overhauls as well as face port insert testing and security., removal and repairing the side block, removal of weights and learn about the KMDSI set-up and maintenance checklists, and Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

The basic technician course does not include instruction in fiberglass and gel coat repair. An entry level for the certification of IRATA to get started in the Industry. Minimum age requirement shall be 18 years old. As the course will be physically challenging, participants must be physically and medically fit and will learn the techniques of rope access maneuvers on a pre-rigged rope course. Participant will also learn a basic rescue and hauling technique.

Successful candidates will receive: IRATA certificate, Log Book, ID card, General requirements and KBA Training guide book.

IRATA Level 2
minimum of 1000hrs logged working hours with varied experience being a level 1 over a minimum period of 12 months. Candidates will learn industrial legislation, to be capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing rope access tasks, under the supervision of an approved IRATA level 3.

Successful candidates will receive: IRATA certificate, ID card, General requirements and KBA Training guide book.

IRATA Level 3
It is intended for personnel who have held the Industrial Rope Access technician level two qualification for a minimum of 12 months and have at least 1000 on-rope hours logged as a level 2, and wish to proceed to level three. A level three supervisor must be capable of complete responsibility for work projects, undertaking advanced rescues and have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practice.

Contingency planning and disaster recovery were largely information technology-led responses to natural disasters and terrorism that affected businesses during the 1980s and early 1990s.

There was a growing recognition, however, that this needed to become a business-led process and encompass preparing for many forms of disruption. In light of this, the discipline became known as business continuity management (BCM).

As governments and regulators began to recognize the role of business continuity in mitigating the effects of disruptive incidents on society, they increasingly sought to gain assurance that key players had appropriate business continuity arrangements in place. Similarly, businesses recognized their dependence on each other and sought assurance that key suppliers and partners would continue to provide key products and services, even when incidents occurred.

ISO 22301 is a management systems standard for BCM which can be used by organizations of all sizes and types. These organizations will be able to obtain accredited certification against this standard and so demonstrate to legislators, regulators, customers, prospective customers and other interested parties that they are adhering to good practice in BCM. ISO 22301 also enables the business continuity manager to show top management that a recognized standard has been achieved.

While ISO 22301 may be used for certification and therefore includes rather short and concise requirements describing the central elements of BCM, a more extensive guidance standard (ISO 22313) is being developed to provide greater detail on each requirement in ISO 22301.

ISO 22301 may also be used within an organization to measure itself against good practice, and by auditors wishing to report to management. The influence of the standard will therefore be much greater than those who simply choose to be certified against the standard.

The standard is pided into 10 main clauses, starting with scope, normative references, and terms and definitions.

This four day course is for experienced commercial offshore Supervisors and/or Bell pers who wish to follow the IMCA scheme and become a supervisor. IMCA certification will allow commercial pers to supervise complex engineering tasks underwater, be globally recognised as a supervisor and enable them to work worldwide.
Eligibility

Hold an IMCA-recognised closed bell ping qualification as set out in IMCA D013.
Demonstrated competence as an offshore bell per (minimum 3 years) with a minimum 400 logged bell lock-out hours
Hold an IMCA-approved Trainee Air Supervisor certificate.

CLOSED BELL (SAT) DIVING SUPERVISORS
Requirements:
Having attend and passed the IMCA Trainee Bell Supervisor course, you have qualified as a Trainee Bell ping Supervisor. However, to be appointed as a Bell ping Supervisor in writing by a ping Contractor, you must additionally fulfill the following minimum requirements:

Acted as a Trainee Air ping Supervisor on at least 10 offshore commercial air pes.

Logged at least 360 panel hours at any time working either as an LST or as an Assistant LST.

Passed the IMCA Air & Closed Bell ping Supervisor examinations.

UPGRADING FROM A QUALIFIED AIR DIVING SUPERVISOR TO BELL DIVING SUPERVISOR
A qualified Air ping Supervisor who has demonstrated competence in accordance with IMCA C 003 and supervised a minimum of 100 offshore air pes and who wishes to progress to Bell ping Supervisor does not have to re-sit the Air ping Supervisor examination module, but must fulfill the following minimum requirements before being appointed in writing by a ping Contractor as a Bell ping Supervisor:

This five day course is for experienced commercial offshore Supervisors and/or Air divers who wish to follow the IMCA scheme and gain IMCA qualification. Course Overview:
The IMCA Approved Diver Medic Technician Course provides participants with the skills, knowledge and the confidence to administer the Life Support techniques learnt during the training effectively and safely. Attendees will be taught how to assess the casualty promptly and provide resuscitative measures with up to date emergency first aid equipment. This course will provide the attendees with IMCA approved DMT certification that is recognised internationally by the industry.

Course Objectives:
To train commercial divers to be certified IMCA Diver Medics. It is a known requirement by IMCA to have one member of a dive team who is not diving, other than the supervisor, trained in advance first aid - generally referred to as a 'diver medic'.

At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

Pre-requisites to attend the IMCA DMT course:
The Diver Medic must be fit to enter a chamber in an emergency and must hold a valid diver's certificate of medical fitness and maintain a personal logbook in which to keep the certificate and record details of any entry into the compression chamber.

Anyone can attend the course, irrespective of their background and qualifications. However, only IMCA-Recognised certificates shall be issued to students who meet the following criteria:

The student must hold an offshore qualification in diving. This can be an LSS, LST, Diving Supervisor, or Diver qualification recognised by IMCA (which is at an offshore grade)

Divers living in saturation conditions require constant monitoring and control by trained personnel outside of the deck compression chamber. The oxygen content of their breathing gas, the concentration of carbondioxide in the atmosphere, the pressure, temperature and humidity of their environment all need to be monitored regularly and functions such as feeding and sewage disposal need to be controlled from the outside by life support personnel.

Who should attend this course?
Life support personnel come from a variety of different backgrounds, including highly skilled technicians from other industries, qualified nurses, former divers and some specially trained for the role. There are no pre-requisites to attend the course but an understanding of basic Mathematics and a good level of English language is needed.

The new NEBOSH Environmental Awareness at Work qualification is a one-day training that introduces your workforce to the environmental issues and the role they play in improving organisational environmental performance.

This is an ideal first step towards other NEBOSH qualifications such as, the NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management for those who need a more extensive and practical understanding of environmental management in the workplace.

Course Content
On completion of this element, candidates should be able to demonstrate understanding of the content through the application of knowledge to familiar situations. In particular, they should be able to:
