Our Conversational FRENCH Course offers lessons specially designed for beginners and for those who intend to brush up their language skills. The course covers simple dialogue (with the aid of English translation), basic grammar, vocabulary and expressions and formal introductions and addressing people. This course does not cover reading or writing of the French language.

At the end of the course, students will be able to construct basic sentences with proper grammatical structure - correct use of verbs. Having Completed Conversational French Level 1, students have the option of moving on to Conversational French Level 2 and thereafter, Conversational French Level 3.

What can I do at the end of my French course?

This course provides participants with French speaking and conversational skills necessary to communicate and integrate confidently into a French-speaking environment. Participants learn to listen to and understand spoken French and eventually to carry out discussions with co-workers and friends and talk confidently and accurately in formal and informal settings.
In Module I, focus is on phonetics, pronunciation and learning essential grammar and vocabulary in order to understand the language and carry out simple dialogue.
In Module II, there is a further development of topics learnt in the previous module. Module II develops fluency through conversational practice and a continued emphasis on pronunciation, and the teaching of grammar and vocabulary. Conversational practice is carried out though a variety of realistic and achievable exercises and participants will have opportunity for group interaction and discussion.

This course is designed to help students in secondary and junior colleges who are struggling with French. The essentials of French grammar and topic areas relevant to the GCE exams will be covered. For students in Secondary school, Agape School of Education follows the curriculum of MOELC (textbook and scheme of work). We also follow the school curriculum for students in International schools. The same follows for students in University/Polytechnics. It will also focus on reading and writing skills that will enhance the student’s ability in doing comprehension exercises and essays.
The courses are run in an easy relaxed setting and are kept small. The focus is on all aspects of the language competency to enable the student to do well in the exams.

Students will be prepared for “O” level exam / DELF exam
Assessment will be done regularly and a report will be sent to student’s school, the teacher of MOELC (if they are MOELC’s student) and the parents.
