It aims to introduce the students to the new language and eventually enable the students to be able to communicate fluently in the language. We employ progressive and learner-centred teaching methodologies to enhance learning and believe in encouraging students to be actively involved in various classroom activities that allow them to interact with fellow students and their teachers. Partner and group work are standard features of the language classes which are usually restricted in size to ensure maximum individual attention and interaction. Our Conversational JAPANESE Course offers lessons specially designed for beginners and for those who intend to brush up their language skills. The course covers simple dialogue (with the aid of English translation), basic grammar, vocabulary and expressions and formal introductions and addressing people. This course does not cover reading or writing of the Japanese language.

At the end of the course, students will be able to construct basic sentences with proper grammatical structure - correct use of verbs. Having Completed Conversational Japanese Level 1, students have the option of moving on to Conversational Japanese Level 2 and thereafter, Conversational Japanese Level 3.

twice a week (2 lessons per week, 2 hours per lesson) E.g. Tue/Thu, 19.00-21.00
3 times a week (3 lessons per week, 2 hours per lesson) E.g. Mon/Wed/Fri, 11.00-13.00
every day (5 lessons per week, 2 hours per lesson) E.g. Mon-Fri, 14.00-16.00

Can I join this course?
Before you join this course, we will test your written and spoken Japanese ability and recommend a course for you at an appropriate level. You do not need to participate in any test if you are completely new to learning Japanese.

How will I know my progress?
At regular intervals, we will administer progress tests to ensure that you are on target to achieve your learning goals.

What can I do at the end of my Japanese course?
At the end of your course, you may continue your studies and enrol for the next course level. This is provided that you pass your progress test and there is a minimum number of students who wish to continue learning Japanese.

This course is designed for participants who wish to learn Japanese for professional or Conversation course (& ) provides participants with a basic understanding of the Japanese language. Participants will be taught Japanese phonetics, acquire basic vocabulary and use simple sentences to communicate. It focuses on daily conversational phrases that are commonly used or heard.
