About This Course

This Ministry of Manpower (MOM) accredited course is a mandatory training course for Occupational First Aider. This course is ideal to supplement workplace training where potential risks such as incidents, illnesses or trauma and supplemental oxygen is highly desirable. It is aimed to train individuals to render first-aid treatment to the casualty during an emergency or accident in the workplace until more advanced medical assistance can be obtained.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Explain the duties and responsibilities of First Aider
List the legal requirements under Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations 2006 (2) for the workplace
Check and pack contents of First Aid Box
Apply first aid to accident victims in the workplace
Manage a medical emergency at the workplace
Manage victims of hazardous chemical exposure
Identify common workplace accidents requiring first aid treatment

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS
There are six essential skill sets required for the OFAC in order to apply first aid at the workplace. The focus is to correctly identify the patient's condition and apply first aid immediately to save life or stabilise the situation. These skills must be demonstrated and practiced during the course.
At the end of the training, participants will be competent in the following skills:.

Handling and transportation of an injured person
Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Dealing with breathing difficulties and unconsciousness
Managing of wounds and bleeding
Stabilizing a fracture injury
Management of burns

HOW IS IT ASSESSED
Candidates will be assessed through a written examination and practical examination on bandaging of wounds, CPR and AED. Upon successful completion, candidates will be awarded a certificate from KBA Training Centre Pte Ltd ~ accredited from Ministry of Manpower (MOM) which is valid for 3 years; CRP+AED certificate is accredited by National Resuscitation Council (NRC), Singapore - valid for 2 years.

Medic First Aid O2 Provider - KBA Training Centre , Singapore

This course is ideal to supplement workplace training where potential risks such as incidents, illnesses or trauma and supplemental oxygen is highly desirable. It is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency oxygen to a suddenly ill or injured patients until more advanced medical help can be obtained; ability to understand the hazards associated with oxygen use and to practice safe handling techniques.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Participants who required a recognised oxygen administration and those with a keen interest on First Aid skills.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS

This qualification is beneficial to inpiduals where it helps to gain confidence and competence in using emergency oxygen equipment in a medical emergency. Essential for workplace training, where providing supplemental oxygen early in the case of emergency can make a significant difference.

First Aid at Work (DMAC 11) - KBA Training Centre , Singapore

This First Aid at Work (FAAW) course is developed in accordance with DMAC 11 (Provision of First Aid and the Training of Divers, Supervisors and Members of Dive Teams in First Aid). It is intended for members of dive teams, including divers, supervisors, life support technicians, and support personnel who may be required to provide immediate first aid response during offshore diving operations.

COURSE OVERVIEW

In today’s context, AED’s are found onboard planes, cruise ships, hotels, factories and many work places. AED is a “must have” according to a standard HSE regulations. 100% course attendance is required to sit for the assessment.
