Our Conversational German Course offers lessons specially designed for beginners and for those who intend to brush up their language skills. The course covers simple dialogue (with the aid of English translation), basic grammar, vocabulary and expressions and formal introductions and addressing people. This course does not cover reading or writing of the German language.

At the end of the course, students will be able to construct basic sentences with proper grammatical structure - correct use of verbs. Having Completed Conversational German Level 1, students have the option of moving on to Conversational German Level 2 and thereafter, Conversational German Level 3.

twice a week (2 lessons per week, 2 hours per lesson) E.g. Tue/Thu, 19.00-21.00
3 times a week (3 lessons per week, 2 hours per lesson) E.g. Mon/Wed/Fri, 11.00-13.00
every day (5 lessons per week, 2 hours per lesson) E.g. Mon-Fri, 14.00-16.00

Can I join this course?
Before you join this course, we will test your written and spoken German ability and recommend a course for you at an appropriate level. You do not need to participate in any test if you are completely new to learning German.

How will I know my progress?
At regular intervals, we will administer progress tests to ensure that you are on target to achieve your learning goals.

What can I do at the end of my German course?
At the end of your course, you may continue your studies and enrol for the next course level. This is provided that you pass your progress test and there is a minimum number of students who wish to continue learning German.

At levels 1, 2, and 3, students are equipped with the skills necessary in mastering the language at a given stage (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). Instruction is directed at establishing the student in each of the four facets of a language: speaking, reading, writing and listening.
Level 4 allows the student to take his learning on an international level, preparing the student for an international diploma corresponding to the language chosen, Deutsches Sprachdiplom (Zertificat Deutsch) (German), DELF (French), DELE (Spanish), TOPIK (Korean), HSK (Chinese), depending on the level they have attained. For instance, French Beginner 4 will prepare the student for the DELF A1 and A2 exams, whereas French Intermediate 4 will prepare him for the DELF B1 and B2 exams.
The exams will take place in their respective certified exam centres representing the governments of the corresponding countries. Please note that the taking of exams is purely on a voluntary basis. Students having completed their Level 4 courses are not obliged to take the exams.

Before embarking on their journey through Decouverte B, students have to go through an 8 week course called Initial. This exploratory course catared for children will allow them to make their first steps into learning a new language through fun games and activities. The course would provide fundamental knowledge required to integrate into the more advanced classes of Discovery B. After which, students would proceed to Academic, whereby they would be prepared to take the international diplomas.
