Business English classes are tailored for professionals working in Singapore. Courses are offered at the Intermediate and Advanced levels. These courses aim to improve students' communication skills in a business environment such as making presentations, writing emails, speaking on the telephone and contributing in meetings. Students will also have the chance to converse with a native English speaker on a variety of business related topics thus improving their understanding of fluent English speech.

Entry requirement

Minimum 12 years of age
No academic requirement (for all levels)

The entry requirements for Business English are directly linked to the scores students attain from the placement test set by our qualified teachers and approved by our Academic Board.

The placement test is designed to help our consultants make decisions about which class to place students in or whether a student can join a particular course. The test covers grammar, vocabulary and speaking ability.

Objectives: These courses are specially designed for non-native English speakers, aiming to enhance students’ English conversational skills, allowing them to adapt to the English-speaking environment as soon as possible. It also aims to improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, so that students will be able to meet the language requirement to further their studies in various professional certification courses in the future. This course is also extremely useful to students who wish to take the International English Language proficiency examinations (, IELTS, TOFEL).
Lesson Time: Monday to Friday, morning class: 9 am-12 pm, or afternoon class: 1pm-4 pm, 3 hours a day.

Course: Business English

Aim:
This course aims to allow students to listen, speak, read and write English in the correct grammatical rules, focus on the structure, style, clarity, and effectiveness of English. Students are able to proceed from level 1 up to level 3 to improve their reading and writing ability. At the end of the course, students will be expected to be able to listen and communicate fluently in English, read and write memos, job applications, e-mails and reports
Term:
Each Level/term is categorized into 20 lessons of 2 hours. Each term is approximately 2½ months.

Lesson Time:
Twice a week, 2hrs per lesson, exact timetable to be further discussed and arranged by the client.
Course Certification & Examination:
Students are required to sit for a compulsory examination at the end of the course and receive certification by Spring College International. The school will issue a certificate to the student stating the completion of the course and the hours of participation in the course.

This course has been designed to not only help you improve your English conversation skills, but to also apply for jobs and attend interviews in English. You'll learn how to complete application forms, write resumes/CV's and practice interview questions in English. We'll also cover everyday topics such as, food & grocery shopping, useful business words and phrases, home & daily life scenarios and social media.

You'll study alongside like-minded students in small groups and share your learning experience.
