OverviewSubsea pipelines have made a tremendous impact as a safe and effective transport system for offshore hydrocarbon exploration and production (E&P). There have been examples of subsea pipeline projects where the boundaries of materials requirements construction and installation techniques inspection and maintenance programmes have all been established and improved upon over the decades. Similarly E&P continually breaches deeper and deeper waters; further improvements and innovation have been the keynote in these applications.
Objective
This course has been specifically developed to fulfil the ongoing industry need for skilled pipeline engineering individuals and teams. The course will provide comprehensive insight into subsea pipeline routing, permits and authorisations, pipeline mechanical design analyses/calculations, materials selection, pipeline construction and installation, line pipe mechanical and corrosion protection systems, pre-commissioning and commissioning practices, and pipeline integrity management practices.
A pipelines workshop will also be conducted to allow delegates an opportunity to test their pipeline knowledgeand practical working examples of pipeline design will be presented.
