Bridge is proud to introduce the FIRST Advanced Medical Interpreting course in the North East of England.
This course has been carefully designed by us to enable our qualified interpreters to work on their professional development and develop their interpreting skills and terminology in health care settings.
This course consists of the following modules:
- Primary Healthcare
- Hospitals & Specialised Units
- Mental health
- Telephone Interpreting & Note Taking skills within healthcare settings
- Sight Translation within healthcare settings
- Resources and Challenging Terminology
- Challenges to the role of the interpreter within healthcare settings
- 2 Revision sessions
Upon completion of the coursework, you will receive an Advanced Medical Interpreting certificate delivered by the Awarding Body TQUK. Updated on 20 January, 2018

Bridge Interpreting Translating and Training Services CIC is a not-for-profit organisation based in Gateshead which focuses on promoting high standards of language services by offering training at various levels for linguists and offering quality interpreting and translation services. If you speak more than one language fluently, you may be interested in becoming a translator or interpreter and enrolling on our popular Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpret or our more advanced Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting preparation course.
