Course details

You will learn how to plan and build successful games on a variety of platforms, such as mobile devices, and have the opportunity to publish your games before you graduate.

An important aspect of your learning journey with DGD is the hands-on training. Practical sessions enable you to master 2D and 3D design software and skill sets to create a portfolio of games of different genres. In addition, relevant industry attachment with game companies or organisations with game design pisions allows you to gain real-world experience. You get to hone your game-making talent through Global Game Jam Singapore which is organised annually by DGD.

Course Outcomes

  • Acquire technical and design know-how to create board and digital games
  • Develop capabilities in rapid prototyping, simulation, and level/sound/character/interaction design
  • Master a variety of software tools to create 2D and 3D games
  • Undergo a 16-week industry attachment programme with organisations such as UbiSoft, Garena, IAHGames and Gumi Asia

Career Opportunities

DGD graduates can look forward to a variety of professions. They can join game companies, publishers, and organisations that require design and production skill sets. Graduates can also become entrepreneurs by starting their own game studio or game-related businesses.
