    Course details

SENSE College provides preparatory classes that prepare our students for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘Advanced Level’ (GCE A-Level) Examination. The GCE A-Level qualification awarded by the Singapore Ministry of Education and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations (UCLES) Syndicate is internationally-recognised and valued by employers, education authorities and institutions of higher education throughout the world.

The GCE A-Level course will lead to an examination which is jointly conducted by the Singapore Examinations & Assessment Board (SEAB) and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations (UCLES) Syndicate.

The A-Level examination is also a pre-requisite for admission to Singapore’s universities namely the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU).  Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT); Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Yale-NUS College (YNC).

The Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level curriculum emphasizes not only on learning but also focuses in ensuring flexibility. Instruction in these subjects will be student-centred. Subjects offered are at the H1 and H2 levels, depending on the capability of students. This tiered structure provides the opportunity for students to achieve their personal peaks of excellence.

H2 is equivalent to the previous Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level subjects in terms of academic demand and rigor. H1 subject has about half the content of H2, but the content would be studied to the same depth as it is at H2. This tiered structure provides the opportunity for students to achieve their personal peaks of excellence.

This course is designed not only to prepare our students for the GCE A-Level exam but also to lead them to passing it with a fair degree of excellence so that they may have the opportunity to pursue their education in tertiary institutions.
