Course Syllabus/Content
The aim of this unit is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the basic principle involved in cost behaviour, decision making and profit control, cash management and product cost ascertainment.
Topics include:
- Short-term cost behaviour, Decision making and Profit-control
- Cash Management
- Long Term Decision Making and Control
- Product Cost Ascertainment
- Transfer Pricing and Performance Evaluation
- Information Processing Cost Transparancy
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
1. Demonstrate understanding of the basic concepts of management accounting
2. Understand the process of preparing management account
3. Analyse and use management accounting information for business decision making
Admission Requirements
Students should normally satisfy the following minimum academic requirements:
- Three GCE 'O' level passes with a pass in Chinese
International students with equivalent qualifications may be admitted on the condition that they are proficient with Chinese.
Certification
After the completion of the short course, students will be given a Certificate of Completion by Beacon International College.
