    Course Objective

    This workshop addresses the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate mastery of concepts and approaches relating to personal effectiveness and to develop and articulate organisational vision and culture.

    Target Audience

    This course is for senior management, directors and head of departments.

    Course Outline

    Communicate effectively

    • Lead stakeholders to develop strategic priorities for organisational communications
    • Promote the organisation using a variety of communication channels

    Persuade and influence stakeholders

    • Lead the articulation of organisational strategic priorities, directions and plans
    • Persuade stakeholders to support the achievement of the organisation’s strategic priorities

    Lead decision making

    • Maintain awareness of market trends and organisational environment
    • Maintain integrity of self and organisation throughout decision making and problem solving process
    • Communicate decisions and ensure they are implemented

    Establish strategic priorities for the organisation

    • Identify trends and factors of strategic value and significance to the organisation
    • Consult with stakeholders to define mission and objectives for the organisation
    • Define key outcomes, deliverables and criteria to be used in evaluating success of strategies
    • Address corporate governance and social responsibility obligations

    Drive the development of organisation vision and culture

    • Identify values and beliefs that underpin vision for the organisation
    • Create processes which engage stakeholders in the review and development of values and vision
    • Communicate vision, values and expectations to stakeholders and build commitment to the organisation

    Provide organisational leadership, direction and governance

    • Communicate clear, inspiring goals, plans and priorities
    • Engage employees to develop plans to operationalise strategic priorities
    • Model strong leadership by demonstrating application of organisational values, behaviours and governance priorities in all actions
