Course details
Introduction to Applied Apparel Merchandising (AAM) provides an excellent holistic introduction to the Textile and Apparel Industry. It provides a broad understanding of processes all the way from design, to finished goods, with particular focus on production, sourcing and costing. Participants will gain a basic comprehension of textiles fundamentals, the ability to apprehend the processes for apparel production, gain elementary skills in production drawings, to attain fundamental understanding of quality concepts and practice, apply production tracking skills, have and enhance their sourcing and costing ability.
Course Structure
This course will be conducted in the form of lectures, discussions, demonstrations, case studies, practical exercises, role plays and hands-on activities. Participants will complete 3 modules as follows:

Entry Requirements
Possess at least 3 GCE "N" level passes including English and Mathematics or ES WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) level 4 and above.
