Course details
This foundational programme will demonstrate how economics concepts and reasoning have been applied in designing public policies in Singapore. It will also introduce basic concepts in behavioural economics and policy evaluation.
Objectives
- Through this course, you will be able to:
- Gain a working knowledge of behavioural economics, policy evaluation methods, microeconomics and macroeconomics
- Better appreciate how the theory and practice of economics permeates policy design and thinking
- Engage with policymakers and government economists on current debates in fields such as public transport, energy, healthcare and the environment
