Objectives
- This course has been designed for students seeking careers in the marketing and business arena.
- To provide a framework for developing marketing as well as business skills and knowledge needed at all management work
Assessment Methods
- To pass the module, students must obtain an overall mark of 50% or more. Each module is assessed by 20% assignment, 10% participation and 70% examination.
- Modules are taught in a face-to-face manner.
Graduation
- Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded with the Diploma in Marketing awarded by MDIS.\
Principles of Business Management (II)
This unit is to provide a concise coverage of current management concepts and processes and enable participants to apply effectively the knowledge to specific organisational situations.
Fundamentals of Information Technology
This unit is to provide participants with fundamental concepts of computer, adequate knowledge of business computing concepts, hardware and software components and information processing skills.
Direct Marketing
This unit is to provide participants with an understanding of the concepts of direct marketing and its role within the business environment. In addition, the knowledge gained will enable participants to plan and evaluate direct marketing campaigns.
Marketing Operations
This unit enables participants to conduct a basic marketing audit considering internal and external factors.
Marketing Environment & Practice
This unit familiarises the participants with the organisation’s micro-environment and its impact on marketing and an understanding of marketing in practice.
Understanding Customers & Consumers
This unit provides participants with an introduction to the topic of consumer behaviour. It enables participants to identify and explain the theories and strategies used to analyse and understand consumer behaviour. It also enables participants to explain and apply consumer behaviour concepts to marketing related decision making.
