The course is based on the IMCA SEL 035 document to provide the marine industry with in-depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and an overview of how it all fits together which will enable the safety committee representative to do a better job and provide them with certification upon course completion.COURSE CONTENT
- Overview of Legislation
- The Safety Committee
- Safety Processes; including JRA, WAH, Human factors
- Review of external references
Competency development and formal training leading to certification at the end of course. With the combination of theory and practical assessment, it builds up the confidence level of personnel.

Marine personnel, HSE professionals, project engineers, appointed reps
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All attendees must have a basic understanding of English.
ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION
There will be a multiple choice examination and ongoing assessment. Delegates who have successfully completed and passed the examination and assessment will be awarded with KBA Training competency certificate. Updated on 24 April, 2025
