Course details

Resume, what's Its Purpose?' is about the purpose of a resume or the resume's objective.

To gain a better understanding of this course and the problem I'm solving for you, please consider the following:

Every individual of working age is good at doing something and so are you! Most likely you would better perform a job where your skills, abilities, experience, and interest are fully being utilized.

On the other hand, employers desperately need: motivated, productive and high-morale employees but, still struggle with improving employee productivity and morale.

To further complicate matters, those who teach or assist others to develop resumes; educators, interviewers, human resource representatives, career coaches, guidance counselors, job trainers, etc., struggle to match candidates to compatible jobs where the employee is productive and enjoys their job.

Most people have never considered the resume's objective. They just copy a sample resume from a booklet, use a template from a job search site. Others create their resume often guessing what information to include but never questioning why! In reality, a resume only information sent in electronic format, posted online or on a piece of paper. But, it has a purpose! With the right information, it can alter your life and provide an enjoyable and financially rewarding career.

Simply put, resumes are often misunderstood. There is too much 'mis-information' and myths about resumes available. This course provides the solution for you and the employer.

Resume, what's Its Purpose?' is the fourth course in a course titled 'The Hodgepodge Formula for Enjoyable Employment': a course that introduces a  revolutionary 'learning model' to make you aware of your own development and the hodgepodge of unique and motivated skills, abilities, interest, experience, and passion that only you possess.  But more importantly, 'how to' match your uniqueness to compatible and enjoyable jobs; without using traditional approaches; and resulting in significant increases of morale and productivity for you and your employer.

The goal of 'Resume, what's Its Purpose?' is to 'shift your thinking' about yourself and resumes by using information gathered from exercises taken in the first three courses that identifies your unique skills, abilities, experience, interest, and passion; and now covers: resume objective, resume content and rationale, words not to use, what you cannot see in a resume, resume myths, and much more to produce your winning resume.
