Fluoride: Occurrence in environment, metabolism, acquisition of fluoride by teeth, excretion, mechanism of action, toxicology fluoride, method of providing fluoride (systemic and topical). Fissure sealant and preventive resin restorations, indications contraindications, application, failures. Prevention of dental caries: at home, at office, on community level. Prevention of periodontal diseases: at home, at office, on community level. Dental health education: principles, methods (direct and indirect), barriers to health education.
