    Course details

Empower your mind and invigorate your body. Whether you are a beginner or an seasoned Pilates practitioner, you will learn the key principles that drive the workout. We will delve into the contexts that influence the method. In just an hour-and-a-half, you will strengthen your focus and thrive!

    Invigorate your mind and body.

    • Learn classical Pilates mat exercises
    • Learn the two "aspects" of yourself
    • Improve concentration and awareness
    • Practice conscious control

Two routines to rejuvenate you from the inside out.

Since Pilates is a system that revitalizes both the body and the mind, training the coordination and balance of the two require attention and guidance. Although movement and techniques can be emulated, profound strength and dexterity can only be achieved through understanding and awareness.

    Content and Overview

You will learn from Joseph Pilates' own writings in Return to Life Through Contrology.  Then you will be guided through a workout that focuses on core and breath.

After that, we will explore the connection between the mind and the body through the work of another teacher, Timothy Gallwey, author of The Inner Game of Tennis. We will delve into quieting mind, receiving instructions and applying conscious control.

Finally, you will engage these ideas in a second workout. You will reactivate the entire body and enliven your spine. This routine will leave you feeling integrated.

This course adheres to the classical approach of Pilates with additional warm-up and preparatory exercises suitable for practitioners of all levels. The two "Exercise Collections" are approximately 20 minutes each.

Although they are identical in movement sequence, the verbal instructions vary and they aim to challenge the mind and integrate the body in contrasting and distinct ways. Upon learning to control movement, be observant and concentrate, you will stand poised, move in agility and think clearly.

It is quoted that Joseph Pilates said, "there is no hope for world peace if the members of the United Nations cannot do my first five mat exercises".
