Performing Shakespeare Lir - National Academy of Dramatic Art

Led by some of The Lir’s core teachers, the course combines rehearsal of text with intensive classes in Acting Technique, Speech, Voice and Movement; all designed to build the performers facility with Shakespeare in performance. The course is designed to cater for performers of all ages and at all levels of experience including seasoned professionals, those who may be contemplating full-time drama training and people who simply wish to explore an interest in the craft.

Application Requirements

  • Fluency in the English language is essential.
  • A commitment to punctuality, discipline and preparation is required from every participant.
  • Information on what to wear etc. will be sent to successful applicants once they have been accepted onto the course.

Cancellation Policy

  • The full course fee is payable as acceptance of an offer of a place on the course.
  • The course fee is non-returnable unless withdrawal is received within two months of the course start date, when a sum of €100 will be retained to cover administration costs. In the event of a cancellation between one and two months of the course start date, the sum of €250 will be retained. A withdrawal less than one month before the course start date will result in the forfeiture of the entire fee.
