Aim:
To develop knowledge and skills in theapplication of management accountingtechniques to quantitative and qualitativeinformation for planning, decision making,performance evaluation, andcontrol.

On successful completion of this course, you should be able to:
A Explain and apply cost accounting techniques.
B Select and appropriately apply decision-making techniques to facilitate businessdecisions and promote efficient and effective use of scarce business resources,appreciating the risks and uncertainty inherent in business and controlling thoserisks.
C Identify and apply appropriate budgeting techniques and methods for planningand control and use standard costing systems to measure and control businessperformance and to identify remedial action.
D Identify and discuss performance management information and measurementsystems and assess the performance of an organisation from both a financialand non- financial viewpoint, appreciating the problems of controllingdivisionalised businesses and the importance of allowing for external aspects.
