The Teaching Assistant Level 2 course is an introduction to the principles and practices involved in providing learning support to children in a professional setting, ideal for aspiring teaching assistants and those who are new to the industry.

In this course, learners will develop their understanding of the role of a teaching assistant and will gain the relevant skills and knowledge to ensure their career progression. As an introductory course, it explores the classroom structure and environment in detail, covering core topics such as planning activities and teaching ;

This course also provides an in-depth introduction to teaching children with special educational needs (SEN), and how to promote their learning and development in a classroom environment.

• Learners should be aged 16 or over to undertake the qualification.
• A good understanding of the English language, numeracy and ICT are required to attend this course.
