Course Objective:This course is important for reservoir modelers or for any geoscientist/engineers involved in an integrated reservoir study. It is not intended to make anyone an expert geologist, geophysicist, Petrophysicist, or engineer. Instead, it is intended to expose various geoscientists and engineers to the entire process of integrated reservoir model. The course will develop improved appreciation of the other disciplines’ needs as well as the necessity of the feedback during the integration process.

- Project Setup.
- Dealing with license problems (Different ports or different program using the same port).
- Data Loading and Quality Control.
- Auditing and QC Mechanisms.
- Data Output.
- Disk Space Management.
- Database Administration and Backup.
- Integration of all subsurface data.
- Geological and geophysical data preparation.
- Seismic interpretation for horizons and faults interpretation (Some attributes will be introduced to help detect some seismic features ex: faults).
- Well correlation.
- Automatic facies interpretation using two different methods.
- Mapping and contouring (This step will include map enhancement and editing).
- Velocity Modeling methods and how to apply using Petrel.
- Fault modeling and QC (This step will include fault editing and connection plus the limitation of the software).
- Fault gridding approach.
- Finalize one 3D structure model.
- Depth conversion 2D and 3D.
- Zonation and layering and its effect on the model resolution and facies analysis.
- LGR.
- Geo-statistics analysis (This step including variograms analysis and trends determination).
- Facies modeling (Stochastic and deterministic and the difference between them).
- Petrophysical modeling (Porosity and permeability and generate different realizations).
- Volumetric calculation.
- Uncertainty analysis.
- P10, P50 and P90 generation.
