Network Essentials is designed to give an experienced Level 1 tech a good foundation in networking technologies, both for real world benefits and to pass the newest CompTIA Network Plus certification (Exam N10-006).

For any experienced IT professional who wants to expand their skill set, Network Essentials is a great place to start.  While basic networking is something that most IT pros understand, this course will teach you about areas which may be new for you, including topics such as SCADA, routing protocols, and VLANS. 

With the new N10-006 version of Network+ CompTIA has placed new emphasis on topics with practical benefit such as network troubleshooting, and in this course we'll spend several models looking at troubleshooting tools and techniques to help diagnose any networking situation. 

We'll also explore one of my favorite topics, the OSI reference model.  Understanding the concepts behind the OSI model are absolutely critical to being able to design, support, and troubleshoot any modern network. 

The course runs a total of 7+ hours, divided into 63 lessons of approximately 10 minutes each.
