Music Performance Galway & Roscommon ETB - Galway City
This music plc course is designed for students who are seeking to pursue a career in music performance or continue to further music education at third level. The programme modules compliment the creative music performance work of the student by giving a broad knowledge base on the music industry, composition and theory skills. Students also perform regularly in live music venues in Galway City as part of their assessment and work experience.

Work experience takes place throughout the academic year in different areas of the music industry including recording, concerts, sessions, teaching or event production.

Perform in Galway city and record in professional studios. Publish your music on the latest Sibelius software. Preparation for University and ABRSM examinations
Entry Requirements
FETAC Level 4, minimum of 17 years of age at time of registration, Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied, Equivalent qualifications from other countries, relevant life experiences, relevant work experiences and mature students.
Students are expected to play their chosen instrument/voice to a high performance standard. Auditions take place at the end of August where applicants are required to perform two short and contrasting pieces.
Career Opportunities
Previous students have gained part-time employment as sessions musicians as well as freelance work with a variety of bands and ensembles. A number of students are currently working full-time in the area of music performance and production.
