Are you interested in studying within our highly ranked Department and well respected LCFE Business School? Our joint MSc Accounting and Financial Economics offers compulsory modules evenly split between both. Your modules taught by our Department of Economics include Mathematical Methods in which you will gain a good understanding of optimisation theory, but also understand formally how economic arguments work and the role of equilibrium. Economics of Financial Markets explores the notions of risk and return in equity markets, both in the context of asset pricing and in the management of equity portfolios. LCFE Business School modules include Management Accounting and Issues in Financial Reporting, so you gain in-depth knowledge of the use of accounting information in organisational control and decision making, plus the use of financial statements and the problems of measurement and disclosure. You will also take optional modules and write a dissertation.
