You are required to conduct interviews when something happens at work. Very little guidance or training is provided. You may be handed a checklist or a list of questions and that's it. Even police officers spend more time in the Academy on the motor vehicle code than on Investigative Interviewing. The Question and Answer method starts the interviewer down a path of less and less cooperation from the subject to the point where the interviewer is doing more talking than the subject!
