Course details

In this course, you will learn about the 'PARTS OF SPEECH'. This is a foundation course aimed at children in KS2 - National curriulum but anyone is welcome to join.

You will learn how to:

• give a definition of the nine parts of speech such as: the noun, article, verb, adverb, adjective, conjunction, interjection, preposition and pronoun.
• give the meaning of each part of speech
• recite a poem related to the parts of speech

You will start to develop an understanding of:

• common nouns and a proper nouns
• collective nouns and compound
• plural and singular nouns
• abstract nouns
• adverbs
• pronouns
• adjectives
• verbs; including the past, present and future form of a verb
• comwhen to use commas or exclamation marks when using interjections
• prepositions and conjunctions
