Course details

Welcome to "How to stay safe on the internet" course.

Introduction

  • We all know we need to stay safe while using the Internet, but we may not know just how to do that. In the past, Internet safety was mostly about protecting your computer from viruses. But today, the Internet's vast reach, constantly changing technologies, and growing social nature have made users more vulnerable to identity theft, privacy violations, and even harassment.
  • Why take this course?

This course will introduce you to the type of threats you may encounter while online, understanding them and how to browse safely on the internet. Also, this course is about passwords, email spams and scams, downloading precautions, what to consider before you buy a product, how to protect your financial transactions, social networks, cyberharassment and cyberstalking, internet addiction, wireless and mobile device safety.

This course will learn you the fundamentals of how to browse on a safe way on the internet.

It doesn't matter how old are you. This course is for all of you but I mostly recommend this course to parents who have children so their children can learn the negative sides of the internet and they can recognize any kind of internet threat.

The Internet has drastically changed the way that children interact with the world. They have access to in-depth knowledge, tools to express their creativity, and people from all over the world. Yet along with offering a fascinating, new way to connect with the world, the Internet also offers new risks

    • Cyberbullying
    • Exposure to inappropriate material
    • Online predators
    • Revealing too much personal information

We are in the age of internet and all of us, especially, children must know internet threats.

At the end of my course students will be able to browse safely and secure the internet.
