Summary
"How to get hired" is a premium course by the Business English HQ team. In this course, our team walks students through the necessary steps to write an application, build a personal profile, construct a CV, write a cover letter, succeed at an interview, and perform well during an assessment centre.
Course Overview
The course is broken into 5 modules:
1. Before your interview
2. Business, CV, and cover letter writing style
3. CV and cover letter
4. Interview and assessment centre:
5. After your interview
Each of our 5 modules is broken into 2 or 3 lessons with 4-8 videos. Each video is between 3 and 20 minutes and focuses on one specific strategy or tactic that you'll need to move towards your dream job.
The videos are broken into two types:
1. Instructional
2. Question Box
Our instructional videos involve a powerpoint presentation and a voice over explaining what you need to do to learn the topic we teach.
Our Question Box videos involve a two-way conversation between our lead instructor, Craig, and another member of our team.
Materials
After each lesson you will have a quiz to solidify your understanding.
Each video lesson comes with supplemental information. This material involves templates, links to web resources, and practice assignments that you want you to work on.
Timeline
The course will take at least one week to complete because we ask you to think critically about each lesson and to perform activities, such as cover letter writing, interview preparation, and group exercise preparation.
Because each lesson stands alone, you do not have to follow the order of the course. Instead, you can focus on your unique areas of improvement.
Why take this course?
You should take this course because the Business English HQ team has decades of experience helping students write better English, speak better English, and use that English to achieve personal and professional success.
Our course is specifically designed for intermediate or advanced non-native English speakers looking to get hired in the UK, USA or Canada. We teach you what you need to know to avoid the most common mistakes foreign applicants make and what you need to know in order to impress and inspire a new employer.
If you follow our instructions, learn our lessons, and ask us questions, you will get a job.
