Hazard Communication Program Al Moalem Institute

OSHA Inspectors will ALWAYS check out your Hazard Communication Program when they inspect.   Why?   Simply because failing to maintain a written program is one of the most common violations cited by OSHA.   All employers must identity hazardous chemicals they use and develop a hazard communication (HAZCOM) program to inform their employees about those chemicals.   This introduction to Part 1910 Subpart Z - Toxic and Hazardous Substances - 1910.1200 Hazard Communication, discusses various requirements including written program requirements, labeling, and material safety data sheet (MSDS) maintenance and training.   A sample written hazard communication program is reviewed.
