Course details

This course will introduce you to the essential concepts in Cloud Computing, Docker and OpenStack with hands-on labs. 

Here's the plan: 

First, I will teach you the key concepts in cloud computing and build a solid technical background. Then, we will do hands-on labs to master all the concepts learned because I strongly believe that you can only become a master after you have practiced hands-on. 

I have designed this course such that even a beginner can understand cloud computing and get a very good functional understanding of the OpenStack cloud, Docker, container orchestration technologies such as the Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.

My goal is to help my students build a strong foundation to build, operate and manage a cloud environment. I will constantly be updating this course to bring the latest technologies and more hands-on labs.

In this course, I will focus on building a strong background to help my students grasp advanced subject material presented in my other deep-dive courses. I will teach you about cloud computing basics, IaaS cloud architecture model, compute, network and storage virtualization techniques, Docker containers, container networking, microservices and container orchestration engines. Then I will gently introduce the OpenStack Cloud, at a 500 ft. level, and teach you about all the popular and noteworthy OpenStack services. Then, I will build on the basics we have learned and teach you the OpenStack deployment architecture, functional interaction between the various services and how the networking service works in OpenStack! The hands-on labs in this course will help you in absorbing the theoretical material taught in this course and you can use it to enhance your professional career or for scaling job interviews.
