When you understand what recruiters really do, you are on your way to structuring your job search activity so that it aligns with a recruiter's work flow.
Doing so is criical. Today, over 75% of all resumes never make it to a live recruiter, because the person applying - you - do not understand how recruiting is done. As a result, you don't do the things that will get you resume in front of an actual recuiter. Many of the ones do never get a face to face interivew with a recruiter, Of the few people who actually get to interact with a recuiter, even fewer are passed onto to a hiring manager as a short list candidate.
If you want to make it to that all important interview with a hiring manager, you need to first understand how a recruiter does her or his job. Then you need to turn your understanding into effective job search action. Once you do so, you are on your way to avoiding the endless "I submit my resume - and never hear anything back" that so many people are trapped in. Being trapped in this cycle is at first frustrating, and ultimately, demoralizing.
So get out of this confidence eroding trap. Understand recruiting from a recruiter's point of view. Then shape your job search activity so that you can make it easy for a recruiter to say "Yes, this is a person that I want to present to a hiring manager".
