The American Learning Center offers special ESL/EFL courses ranging from the beginner to the superior levels according to the ACTFL guidelines of instruction.
Our courses are set as follows:
- Beginners: Level 1-2
- Elementary: Level 3-4
- Low-intermediate: Level 5-6
- Intermediate: Level 7-8
- Upper-intermediate: 9-10
After the completion of the above mentioned levels, students will be eligible to register for a (EEE, TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS) course or for the University of Michigan Competency Examination (ECCE) and achieve remarkable scores.
Candidates are asked to attend a preparation course in order to qualify for any of the aforementioned examinations.
- Advanced: Level 10-12
- Proficiency preparation course: Level 13
After the completion of the upper-intermediate, pre-advanced, and advanced levels, candidates become qualified to sit for the SAT I preparation course or for the Proficiency Examination for the University of Michigan English Language Institute (ECPE).
About American Learning Center
Based on a deep and extensive experience in the educational field, the American Learning Center was established in 2005 under decree no. 16181 from the Lebanese Ministry of Private Education in order to serve youth and professionals in their various fields of practices to acquire the English Language.
Furthermore, the center has appointed highly qualified instructors to engage in the learning process and prepare students for secure University Entrance Examinations such as TOEFL, SAT, EEE and IELTS.
In addition, their Center has chosen certain disciplines that became integral specialties like the English for Special Purpose classes namely the International Business English, the English for Law and the English for Medicine open to all corporate industries.
