Independent Food Safety Audits carried out by qualified and experienced nhi personnel. Providing food establishments with a practical 'hands-on' solution to food Safety & Hygiene issues; these audits are key to fostering the principles that build positive food safety & hygiene culture within an organization and improving inspection grades. Based on multi point audit Checklists that contain set criteria and standards drawn up against Muscat Municipality Food Control Regulations, international standards, industry guidelines as well as tailor made to follow specific brand standards and an organisations own HACCP/Food Safety Management System.

Comprehensive physical inspections of all food production and service facilities from receipt of goods, storage, production, cooking, cook-chill, hot-hold and service to your customers; including reviews of food safety management systems and training levels. Simple or more detailed written audit reports are provided explaining noted contraventions, the required corrective actions and recommendations. These include a percentage score for each area of operation so that individual establishments can track and compare progress.

The institute also has accommodation facilities for up to 54 students from outside of Muscat.
