Course details
By the end of the course the student should have acquired a thorough knowledge of the practical aspects of DP operations. He/she should be capable of planning and conducting any DP operation, including risk assessment, contingency planning and assessment of vessel capability. He/she should be able to undertake the operation with due regard to all circumstances of seamanship and operational requirements. He/she should also be able to react correctly to any circumstances which could lead to catastrophic failure or which constitute catastrophic failure itself.
The maximum number of trainees is six.
