Creative Lanugage Arts

The course emphasized on the visual, auditory & kinesthetic aspects of teaching young learners, to hone their decoding strategies and literacy skills in learning. A plenitude of approaches was shared in the principles of oral enunciation, grammatical usage, confidence building, and different teaching styles. The oral component tackled the art of presentation focusing on pronunciation, projection and word recognition skills for beginning readers. The linguistic aspects included writing styles and grammatical precision. Teaching methodologies used concepts from Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences, Benjamin Bloom’s taxonomy and even mind-mapping techniques were hence shared via fun, activity-based approaches. Learner-centered classes helped groom the participants into an all-rounded, effective yet creative teacher and/or trainer, who are able to think out-of-the-box with effective praxis of unconventional classroom techniques.

Early Years Enrichment Enterprise

The integration of enrichment principles into the early childhood development is emphasized in this course. This is the fundamental backbone of the course that supports the teacher/ trainer in building the character of the participants, empowering them to be enthusiastic life-long learners. The enrichment aspect of the course helps the teacher/ trainer develop the mental stimulation, through visual, auditory & kinesthetic techniques, ultimately honing the skills needed in the development of the learners. A multitude of strategies are shared in the areas of oral enunciation and effective communication, grammatical usage, confidence building and different teaching styles. The oral component tackled the art of pronunciation, projection, word recognition skills, and communication techniques for readers of the early years. The language aspect included exploration of writing styles and lexicon precision. Teaching methodologies used concepts from Benjamin Bloom’s taxonomy and Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences that were shared via fun, interactive approaches. Classes conducted were primarily of a hands-on nature that helped the teacher/trainer utilize the enrichment techniques in unconventional ways in a classroom setting.

Effective Communication in Education

The emphasis of the course is training participants on effective communication for their learners’ practical application and daily use. A range of techniques and skills set in cultivating good listening skills, developing clear vocal enunciation, effective grammatical and lexicon usage, confidence building and varying teaching styles are imparted. Fundamentals of speaking and listening skills are tackled where effective listening techniques and the art of pronunciation, expression, and projection are honed as well. Physical awareness such as in gestures and body language is imparted through hands-on activities. The vocal literacy aspect includes grammatical and lexicon precision. Teaching methodologies use concepts from Benjamin Bloom’s taxonomy, Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences and mind-mapping techniques. These are shared via fun and activity-based approaches. The trainer/ teacher will experience interactive ways in conducting Effective Communication through the learner-centered classroom structured settings.

This course fosters enrichment fundamentals, supporting the teacher/ trainer in building the character of the participants, empowering them to be enthusiastic life-long learners. The principles the students acquire will help exercise the mental stimulation, through visual, auditory & kinesthetic means, cultivating the skills required in the development of the learners. Varied approaches are presented in the areas of oral and vocal development, effective communication skills, literacy and linguistic techniques, confidence building skills, differentiated teaching styles and innovation and entrepreneurship knowledge. The essentials in speech and communication will be honed. Creative thinking such as the definitude usage of grammar and lexis will be exercised as well as peer mentoring techniques and teamwork skills in teambuilding. Teaching methodologies are based from Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences, mind-mapping techniques and even differentiation are shared via fun, activity-based approaches. Fundamentals in innovation & entrepreneurship skills are imparted such as sales and marketing skills, financial know-how, self-motivation skills, time-management skills and administration skills. As classes focus on learners’ needs, the trainer/ teacher learn interactive ways in which the principles of enrichment are utilized in a classroom setting.

Speech & Drama

This course focuses on the 3-tier professional development of the fundamentals in speech development and creative drama. As a 3 Module programme, it offers innovative ideas as to how Speech & Drama are conducted in a fun and more effective way. Refreshing activities, games, problem-solving exercises, and differentiated class-size activities are imparted and shared. The 1st Module is an introduction to the course on spontaneous self-expression, creative thinking skills, psychomotor skills and body awareness, confidence building, approbation techniques, and English Language and literature appreciation. All these are facilitated in a multi-sensory manner, fostering the child’s brain development and learning. The 2nd Module, Speech & Drama in Action, involves exploratory concepts of drama such as cooperation with others, developing proper articulation and confidence, critical thinking, problem solving, physical exploration, scriptwriting and directing. The 3rd and final Module, Drama in Education highlights drama stylistically and realistically. It puts teaching application into practice through pedagogical means. Aspects on methodologies involve concepts from Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences, mind-mapping techniques and even differentiation. In addition, participants are guided to apply Contemporary Drama, dramatic instructional theories and educational psychologies in their own classroom settings.

Teaching Innovation and Creativity

The course concentrates on the harnessing of the mind to think creatively in order to implement productivity in an innovative manner. This is done through the 3-step thought-cum-action process – Inflect. React. Implement. A multitude of approaches are shared to develop the teacher/ trainer into a confident orator, equipped with a bevy of skills set in the area of effective grammar and lexicon praxis, teaching styles and techniques, cognitive processes and entrepreneurship knowledge. Essentials in creative thinking such as the definitude usage of grammar and lexis are honed. Peer mentoring techniques and teamwork skills in teambuilding are shared. Teaching methodologies use concepts from Benjamin Bloom’s Taxonomy and Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences. The differentiation methods to cater the varied learning comprehension of students are conducted in fun and interactive activities. Fundamentals in Innovation & Entrepreneurship skills are imparted such as sales & marketing must-dos, financial know-how, self-motivation techniques, time-management and administration skills. Through the learner-centric approach, the trainer/ teacher will learn interactive ways in which the principles are conducted.
