Course Objectives
This course is designed to impart comprehensive business knowledge and skills required for a career in business to students. Graduates would develop and acquire a strong business acumen and have the option to specialise in different areas of Business Management in the Advanced Diploma level.
Who Will Benefit From The Course
- Students who desire to acquire the required knowledge and skills for a position in the business world.
- Students who want to pursue a recognized Business Diploma and also lack the required English Language competency.
- Students with this knowledge may register to attempt for external examinations of relevant External Examinations Centers, such as Association of Business Executives, Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Entry Requirements :Minimum Age Requirement 17
Normal Entry
Singapore/PR students:
- 2 GCE 'A' Level with a pass in General Paper, or
- 5 GCE 'O' Level with a pass in English, or
- Unitedworld International Academy Certificate in Business Management
International students:
- Unitedworld International Academy Certificate in Business Management, or
- Subject to IELTS band 5.0 or equivalent with High School Certificate or equivalent.
Assessments & Examinations
The summative assessment strategy is designed to enable students meeting the learining outcomes through using four components, including two written assessment methods. The first written assessment is a coursework assessment, which may be done by an inpidual or in group, The second is a written examination in which students will be assessed on key theories and their application.
The four components that contribute to the total assessment weighting are:
- Attendance = 10%
- Class Participation = 10%
- Coursework Assessment = 30%
- Written Examinaton = 50%
Graduation Requirements
- To pass the course, the student must pass all the modules.
Progression Pathway
- Successful candidates may progress into Unitedworld Advanced Diploma in Business Management.
