Assessment Methods
- To pass the module, students must obtain an overall mark of 50% or more. Each module is assessed by 20% assignment, 10% class participation and 70% examination.
- Modules are taught in a face-to-face manner.
Graduation
- Students who successfully complete the programme with the Diploma in Accounting awarded by MDIS.
Principles of Production Management
- This unit is to provide knowledge and understanding of operations management as the management of a manufacturing or service organisation’s conversion process. Principal issues concerning capacity and project resource management, operations planning and quality assurance will also be addressed.
Fundamentals of Information Technology
- This unit is to provide participants with fundamental concepts of computer, adequate knowledge of business computing concepts, hardware and software components and information processing skills.
International Marketing
- This unit enables participants to acquire skills in applying marketing techniques in foreign countries and to increase the participants' awareness of the problems inherent in international marketplace.
Organisational Behaviour
- This unit aims to develop an understanding of the various behavioural and Human Resource Management issues in an organisation and translating the concepts into real life application.
Business Accounting
- This unit enables participants to apply accounting concepts, assumptions and principles to the analysis of business transactions and to prepare financial statements.
Cost Accounting
- This unit enables participants to develop an understanding of cost terminology, cost classification and cost behaviour, control of cost within an organization and the use of cost information to make management decision and the teachniques of costing for products and services.
