Course details
This course aims to cover all aspects of Air & Saturation diving methods & procedures. Participants will receive an overview of the reasoning & methodology behind the planning and execution of a professional offshore diving operation.COURSE OBJECTIVES
To enable participants to be conversant & have a better understanding of working with divers & the latest diving techniques.
Understand the medical, physiological & practical restrictions placed on divers & subsea works.
COURSE CONTENT
- Overview of diving Physics Theory
- Diving System Assurance – IMCA D011 and IMCA D10/10
- Overview of Diving Physiology
- Surface Diving Procedures & Methods — including SRP systems
- General Safety Requirements — surface supplied diving and saturation diving methods
- Review of Diving System Assurance Criteria (DESIGN) use
- Saturation Diving Methods & Systems
- Overview of IMCA & OGP Documentation
- Lesson learnt — review of industry safety flashes
Those who have a little or no knowledge of diving operations but are indirectly involved with diving operations in some aspect, who will benefit from an increased awareness, such as project managers, operations managers, human resource personnel, engineers, technicians, sub-sea engineers.
Note: The course is delivered in English and involves practical hands-on experience with diving equipment and chambers. For personnel who have suitable medical, a ‘chamber dive’ may be conducted to experience pressurisation. Updated on 24 April, 2025
