About Course:

The Cisco CCNP curriculum is designed for students seeking career oriented, enterprise-level networking skills. CCNP helps students develop the skills needed to succeed in ICT-related degree and diploma programs and prepare for the Cisco CCNP certification.It provides a theoretically rich, hands-on learning experience covering advanced routing, switching, and troubleshooting skills.

CCNP provides a next step for CCNA Discovery or CCNA Exploration students who want to build on their CCNA level skill set to further a career in computer networking. 

CCNP equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to plan, implement, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot converged enterprise networks. The CCNP curriculum was designed to reflect the job skills and responsibilities that are associated with professional-level job roles such as network engineer, systems engineer, network support engineer, network administrator, network consultant , and system integrator.

The CCNP curriculum consists of three courses: CCNP ROUTE: Implementing IP Routing, CCNP SWITCH: Implementing IP Switching, and CCNP TSHOOT: Maintaining and Troubleshooting IP Networks.

Outline of CCNP ( professional or "journeyman" level networking certification)

CCNP1: Advanced Routing

CCNP is a professional or “journeyman” level networking certification. Cisco created the CCNP to recognize advanced skills in computer networking, particularly for installation and support of medium-sized LAN/WAN networks (having 100-500 nodes). The CCNP focus on routing and switching of scalable networks including intranets and campuses.

CCNP2: Remote Access

CCNP2 Is the second of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) designation. CCNP2 introduces students to the implementation of Cisco routers in WAN applications. The course focuses on the selection and implementation of the appropriate Cisco IOS services required to build intranet remote access links. Students will develop skills with the specific WAN technologies of analog dialup, ISDN BRI and PRI, frame Relay, broadband, and VPN

CCNP3: Multilayer Switching 

CCNP3 Is the third of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) designation. CCNP3 introduces students about the deployment of the state-of-the-art campus LANs. The course focuses on the selection and implementation of the appropriate Cisco IOS services to build reliable scalable multilayer-switched LANs. Student will develop skills with VLANs, VTP, STP, inter-VLAN routing, redundancy, Cisco AWID, QoS issues, campus LAN security, and transparent LAN services.

CCNP4: Network Troubleshooting 

CCNP4 Is the last of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. CCNP4 teaches students about the troubleshooting network problems. This course focuses on troubleshooting network problems. This course focuses on the documenting and baselining a network, troubleshooting methodologies and tools, and layers 1 to 7 troubleshooting.
