We also cover techniques, we look at products and methods to grow black hair long.
We will demystify black hair. There is a widely-held belief that black hair doesn't grow, or doesn't grow at the same rate - this is all a myth. We look at length retention, what you can do - protective styling, how to make your own products and next steps to take.
Course notes are provided.
Your tutor has been studying black hair for the past 4 years, since embarking on her own natural hair care journey and has owned a hair company and is still involved in hair care products. She's also the author of the book Black Hair Does Grow - something she discovered on her own hair care journey when she took the time to study her own hair and what worked and what didn't.
There will be special emphasis on Type 4 hair - which is on the curlier end of the curl pattern spectrum. "Black hair is extremely fragile by its very nature, and just one or two things that you learn on this course could make all the difference of 2 inches" said Lisa, course tutor. If you have never learned how to manage your hair - maybe you are simply copying bad hair care management / techniques which you've witnessed in your own family. There is a best way to manage your hair. If you know what it is, you will no doubt, see results in increased growth and health of the hair.
The course will take approx 2 hours to complete.
